A DISCUSSION OF LAW AND JOURNALISM

Hard Times for Lil Poopy

Lil Poopy

By LASIS Staff

In March, we introduced you to Lil Poopy, aka “Coke Boy,” a nine-year-old rapper with lyrics like, “Coke ain’t a bad word,” who slaps a grown woman’s behind in a music video.

Among the stories circulating about Lil Poopy were claims of an affiliation with the rapper French Montana, whose crew call themselves Coke Boys. YouTube and at least one music tour backed these stories up.

But French Montana himself has made it clear that Lil Poopy is not an official Coke Boy.  He’s tried to distance himself from the (apparently) faux Coke Boy, saying that “he just liked the little kid” but that he “would never want no kid out there talking like a grown man.”

So, to our readers who expressed concern about this young fellow, it would seem someone “in the biz” is on the same page.
